Patent/Innovation Data and Investment Analysis

Detailed statistical data on the quality of a company's patent and innovation portfolio can be used to improve investment returns. One aspect of such valuations is pricing a portfolio of some or all of a company's patents. The November 2004 edition of the Journal of Accountancy has a nice intro article to such valuations, 20 Steps For Patent Pricing.
